Hi All,

Do we know what is "my city"? Please state your details. In Atlanta, we are waiting in queue for an oath ceremony date for 3 months now. I know of a friend who is waiting for 5 months. It all depends on where you are - I mean wherever you are in "my city".

if you know for sure your oath will take place at a court room, i.e. name change, then you can call the court clerk for the list of oath dates in a particular month (maybe longer). But he or she won't be able to tell you when your particular oath ceremony will be (only the CIS knows). You will have to wait for the CIS to schedule and send out the oath letter to you.

BUT if you are impatient like me, I know you can get a more in-depth update of your case (comparing to the "online case status") from the officer sitting at your local CIS office front counter with an INFOPASS. That officer can even tell you when your oath is (if it's indeed scheduled) and when the letter is sent to you before you actually receive the letter in the mail.

GOD bless.
