Hello:

I called USCIS just to see if they would have any new updates. To Begin with, i was not even quite sure what my DO is : I stay in the NC/SC Border and i have seen a few cases go to NC , while others were processed in SC.

So, I called USCIS and they transferred me to a second level Officer. They said my DO will be Greer, SC - DO.

She put me on hold for a minute and also told me that Since Sep 23 i am on an Interview Queue...

What does this mean? She said once a date has been assigned, they will send me the letter/Checklist etc.

Does anyone know what an Interview Queue means...Does this mean, my FP's are ok, Name Checks are all cleared etc ??

Can someone please let me know what that queue means... Appreciate your help.

This is my guess. NBC orders FP's, then we finish it, FBI gives feedback directly to NBC, then they put it in the queue as soon as feedback is received and then, some IO's (dealing with N-400 type petitions) will open this queue, assign interview dates based on the internal calendar system available for various DO's. It's like an auto assembly line. Little bit disorganized though. What I don't understand is, why cases under some DO's move to interview stage faster than cases under other DO's if these cases form a queue at the NBC.

Also, moving to next stage doesn't mean your name is cleared or OK by FBI. It only means NBC received the feedback (positive or negative). Only during the interview we will know about it. If the IO finds something negative, he/she will definetly raise it during interview.
