N400 interview notice lost in mail

I did not receive the letter informing me when the interview was supposed to take place. Instead I got a notice from INS informing me that I did not show up for the scheduled interview and should explain why I was a no show
Did any one have a similar experice and what was the cource of action.

sorry to hear. what i would do is contact the INS, explain to them the problem and ask for a new date. the most straightfwd thing to do...

i had same problem in june 2002 when i didnt recieve my fingerprint notice and i kept waiting for them UNTIL FEB 2003****** 8 months wasted****** just for waiting for nothing.

i called them up in feb and found out it was mailed in june 2002 and then got new letter in march.

wish we had seperate LUCK line in our hands JUST to deal with BCIS.

Wrote to the INS San jose office and received a feedback stating that the interview will be rescheduled in couple of months.

Let us see how long the wait is.

San Jose INS has reschedule the interview for 12th December 2003.

BCIS has become extremely efficient.
