N400 - Interview date request after FP

Hello,

I am getting ready to file my N400 in the fist week of 02/2010 and has to leave the country after that. I can come back in 3 weeks to get the FP done. So, by the end of Feb 2010 or 1st week of March 2010, my FP would be done. Is it possible to request an interview date after 07/2010? Why I am asking is, I need to leave the country again after the FP is done.

Nowadays the mailing to interview time is 2 months for so many people. Why would you just not file in the middle of 2010?

They can accommodate interview postponement for sure, but can not / will not guarantee when you get interviewed.

Looking at your travel pattern (from what I can decipher) note that continuous residence requirements need to be met until the oath, so sharpen your pencils in terms of these calculations before you file.
