N400 divorced in home country prior to entering US and getting GC

Hello all,

I am helping my girlfriend with N400.

I have a pretty simple question but I cannot guess what US officials want me to do.

I am talking about N400, Part 8, section F

In reality, my girlfriend was married twice and twice was divorced. First marriage and divorce happened in her home country. Her husband was not a US citizen. Second time she was married in US on US citizen and was divorced later on as well.

Should she list her first spouse in the application in this section or she does not? Same question if she should count that marriage in Part 8, section A?
She got her GC based on the second marriage while being in US.

Thank you a lot,
Vad

Yes she should not mention both divorces on her application. This will have no effect on her eligibility. If she is not married right now then number of times married is 2, and if she is married right now then number of times married is 3

She needs to list both ex-spouses. Her latest ex-spouse (the US citizen) should be listed on the N-400 form itself for part 8 section F, and the one before that should be listed on a separate sheet of paper, with all the same items of information for him ... first/middle/last name, date when marriage began/ended, etc.

Thank you

I understand Jackolantern point.

Regarding your point, guju. It is quite strange if the number of marriages will be 2 and none of the previous supposes will be listed.

Guju, I think you mean she should mention both marriages and divorces on her application.

I hope she's not currently married, because vkazman did say she was his 'girlfriend' :)

My apologies. GundaDin is right. I meant that she should mention both marriages. This is what happens when I do not proofread my posts ;)
