N400 denied or is there hope?

I filed an N400 in 2004, I had 2 misdemeanors for petty theft from 16 and 18 years ago, young and dumb! The Cincinnati office issued an NTA one year ago, but it still has not been filed with the court. When I call the 800 number it says the A # is not found in the system. I have since gotten one of the convictions vacated and have asked for a cancellation of the NTA. I have heard nothing...
Questions:
Does anyone know if I can now naturalize because I am now eligible, or do I have to file again?

Does anyone know how long I may have to wait for them to simply cancel the NTA?

I really need to leave the country to reunite with my husband, it has been 3 years since this mess, and he hasn't met his child yet because of it. Does anyone know if I could leave and still get back in with all the paperwork, vacated conviction, etc?

Does anyone know which port of entry might be the easiest to enter if I do leave?

Please advise, I don't want to mess things up but I really can't wait anymore...

Thank you!

You really need to consult a lawyer since you have an unusual situation and the outcome could have a serious impact on your life here in the US.

Check with a lawyer, if you leave the country and try to come back you might find yourself barred from entering the country. I don't know how long does Cincinatti take to do an N-400 now, it might be better to file again before the fees go up next month. Check with a lawyer before. At the very least I would think you would need to gather some recommendations from organizations or people from the community that can attest for your good moral character and that you have left those things behind. I am not an expert on what crimes make you permanently ineligible for naturalization, but doesn't look to me that the crimes you mention should permanently disqualify you from naturalization. Again, my best bet would be to consult a good lawyer and try to build a case that shows your good moral character for at least the past 5 years.

My 2 cents.
