Is anyone going through or has gone through the N400 process in Charleston, SC? It has been over seven months since my PD and no interview letter yet. Please post your experiences if your DO is Charleston. The other SC threads are for the Greer office, which seems to be on track for interviews.

hi,
my husband and I just received our interview notices. our PD is Jan 2006 and our FP were done in Charlotte in Feb. our interviews are scheduled in charleston on Jan 23 in the afternoon. i have yet to find out when the oath will be. since you applied 7 months back, it should take you another 3-4 months atleast. all my friends in SC too are getting their notices after almost a year later.

thanks

Samyutka,

I think my DO is Charleston too, although I'm not sure. I'm in the midlands. Could you tell me if your case status disappeared before you got your interview letter? The processing time for charleston now indicates that it's taking 7 months; i wonder if that's correct.

dana girl,

our status disappeared. the funny thing was we never checked before. we just checked only once and it was not found and within a few weeks we received our letters. we are going for our interviews this month and will update on it. i heard that the oath ceremony usually is on the same day. if not, they will do it the next day. so we are taking off two days and going to charleston.

thanks

And one more question, Samyukta. Were you asked with your interview letter to take the new pilot naturalization test? Charleston is one of the DOs where they are doing the pilot.

danagirl,

no. we were not asked to do that. we were only told in the letter to go in for the interview with civic/ laguage test i think...
thanks
