N400 Application qn - Document checklist

I have listed a traffic citation in N400 and fine was paid(< 500$) and no charges filed. I did read from N400 instruction that no documents need to be filed for citation (citation receipt etc) if it is < 500$. Looking at the naturalization guide, it looks like they need a official statement for the proof of no charges filed. Do I need to get my DMV record and attach? I attended a traffic class recently and I heard it takes around 6 months to see the record updation.

In the Naturalization guide, under the document checklist,

"If you have been arrested or detained by any law enforcement officer and no chareges were filed, send:

q A original official statement by the arresting agency or applicable court confirming ni charges were filed"

Can someone clarify?

Here we go again!

query11,
Can you elaborate? I have included the citation in the application. I do not know what to attach as "official" to claim they filed no charges.
N400 application had a question covering "arrested, cited, detained" asking Yes/No, but in the document check list, they have listed only "arrested and detained". Does it mean that just mentioning the citation is fine and no supporting document needed?

just go to your courthouse and give them ur dl,they will give a copy as proof for taking care of your tickets...
anyother issues regarding traffic tickets plz pm me...
as it is a taboo to discss traffic tickets in this forum...

welcome to immigration.com

i have heard from a lot of pp where immigration officers(io)have asked for proof even though the n400 specifically states no proof needed for taking care of tickets < 500$...
this is mainly due to lack of communication within uscis(my guess)

i am extremely sorry its just tht when it comes to traffic tickets there have been virtual bloodbath in this forum and i dont want to be responsile for another one... ;)
hope it is clear but feel free to post ur questions...

query11,
Is it OK to mention the citation now in N400 and keep the confirmation from the courthouse with me to be shown at the interview later? I do not have the confirmation with me to send it with N400 and going to the traffic court after getting the appt is an ordeal by itself, which I plan to do after I send the N400.

yes no problem,
just make sure you take it with you to the interview....
