N400 and Traffic Tickets question

I just sent my N400, and I answered "YES" for Question number 16, indicating that I had traffic citations, and I listed the citations I got from memory recollection only, as I no longer have any documentation of these citations.

All the traffic citations in question are more than 7 years old, and are not showing up on my driving record, state records, and reports produced by my insurance company.

I also attached a letter explaining this situation, and included copies of driving records that show nothing. But obviously, and wanted to be honest and disclose that I did receive traffic citations in the past.

Since I don't have the court records on these citations, is it going to become an issue during my interview?

Also, all citations have been paid, and they all occurred at a state I no longer live in!

Any advise or feedback will be greatly appreciated!

You might want to check with the state that you had your driver's license with at the time you got the traffic tickets and ask if they have a complete driving record available and how far back it goes. Usually people get records that go back 3 years because that is all the insurance company cares about. However, most states provide records that go back 7 to 10 years due to people who have a CDL and might need to report events that happen up to 10 years ago.

Note that unless a traffic incident was alcohol or drug related, you do not need to submit documentation for traffic fines and incidents that did not involve an actual arrest if the penalty was a fine of less than $500 or points on your driver's license.
