Hello -
I would like to get your thoughts on this issue -
I have a GC for the last 3 years and married to a US citizen. I am a consultant and part of my job requires travel across the country. I have applied for US citizenship few months back.
I have had a appointment on Feb 28th, in NY 2008 for test. I could not make that appointment as my flight was cancelled due to bad weather from Atlanta on Feb 27th and therefore I could not make it to the test / appointment
I visited Immigration office on Feb 29th and given them a written statement the reason I could not attend the appointment. After two weeks I have receved a letter dening my application and asked to file the N-336 forms for a hearing and pay $600 with the application. Also, I don't have any proof that my flight was cancelled. I had to long route to reach NY the next day.
Can someone please answer me what are my chances to get a re-test? what are the next steps? Did anyone had similar experience?
Thanks for your reply.
Regards
