N-600k Question

Hi!

I'm filling the form n600k under section 322 for my son since we're live abroad and I do not meet the 2 year after the age of 14.

My question is about the A- Number, my son doesn't have A-Number and I'm stuck in this part. he already has visa and travelled to US for vacation purposes.

Do the A-number is given by the USCIS if I file online?

Do I need the form -I94?

Just write "none" for the child's A number. The child will almost never have an A number in N-600K cases. I am not sure why they even ask.

Hi! I live in Brazil, and I got my citizenship after my daughters birth, now they are 6 years old. My father is an American citizen by birth and he lived in America 25 years. Is this N600k form for my case?

Are you guys planning to live in the US or abroad?

If your father was a US citizen for so long, shouldn't you have been a US citizen from birth? How did you "get your citizenship after your daughter's birth"? Did you get a green card and then apply for naturalization after 5 years? Or did you just get a US passport (which would indicate that you were already a citizen)?

I just got my passport but it was after my daughters’s birth
So it sounds like you were already a US citizen before your daughter's birth (either from your birth, or from when you were a minor). So we need to determine whether your daughter is already a US citizen. What periods of time in your life were you physically present in the US (in particular, were you physically present in the US before your daughter's birth for a cumulative total of 5 years, including 2 years after you turned 14)? Was your daughter born in wedlock (i.e. were you married to the other biological parent at the time of her birth)? Was the other parent a US citizen?

Thank you so much for your attention!! I went to the US several times for vacation but I have never lived there, and I think it can’t reach the five years. The other parent is not US citizen and I am married with her yet. I am married with a woman and she was the pregnant one, not me. But their birth certificate has our names. I am a legal mother too.

I think N-600K is the right thing to do then.

And about my nephew, he is 19 years old, his mother is American citizen- my sister, how he can get his citizenship now?

they live in Brazil and don’t have the physical presence either… only our father has it

If your sister didn't meet the requirements to pass citizenship to him at birth (5 years, including 2 years after turning 14, if he was born in wedlock; or 1 continuous year, if he was born out of wedlock), then he's basically out of luck. He's too old to go through the INA 322 process (with N-600K). Pretty much the only way is for your sister to petition him to immigrate (i.e. to get a green card), which would require that your sister be domiciled in the US. And then after getting a green card and staying in the US for 5 years he can apply for naturalization.

And my wife? Does she has some way to get it?
No, unless she immigrates to the US, i.e. you petition her (which requires you to be domiciled in the US), you both stay in the US for 3 years after her getting a green card, and then she can apply for naturalization.

After I submit the form do you know how long it takes to be appreciated and how long takes for the interview in the US?

Another question, I am 49 years old and I only have the US passport but I don’t have the citizenship certificate. Do I have to apply for it? How can I do that? Thank you so much
