I need to apply for my sons <18 for N-600. He already got the passport.
What is the address I need to send the application. I am in Chicago.
Does the application goes to District Office or the Service Center like Nebraska.

I'm fairly sure you send the application to a service center - pretty much like everything else related to USCIS.

Why the need for a certificate of citizenship if you've already got the passport?

just in case some rules changes and he has to prove how he got the citizenship, If we are dead, or cant find the naturalization certificate.
Due to all these homeland security laws one never knows what will be next.
since i have spend so much $$$$ and time to get my own Citizenship I want to make sure he dont have any problem lite yrs later. I do know that he is automatically US citizen once parents take the oath.

I believe, but I'm not sure, that the instructions say to mail it to the local District Office.

Yup, I just checked:

Where Do You Send the Application?
The completed Form N-600 and accompanyingdocumentation must be filed with the appropriate USCISoffice in the United States with jurisdiction over yourplace of residence. Form N-600 may be filed at anyUSCIS office or suboffice in the United States or itsoutlying possessions, including San Juan, Puerto Rico;the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam. The address of eachUSCIS office can be found at: http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/alphaa.htm.

Reading the instructions can be instructive :-)

Example of a sub-office:

The Providence Rhode Island Imm Office (where I got my green card) is a "sub-office" of the Boston office. I have no idea why, but it is.
