yes, for the purposes of showing that you met the conditions for automatically becoming a US citizen before you turned 18Applying for N-600 or U.S. Passport.. Will they accept my green card as proof of permanent residency even though it is expired?

My father is a naturalized citizen. He naturalized before I was 18, in the early 2000’s. Then I came to the US with a permanent residency card when I was 15. And was in his physical custody until I was 18. I was thinking of applying for the n-600, but after further research it seems like the better route (for now, because it’s cheaper) is getting my passport for proof of citizenship.
