1) How much time it takes for USCIS to cash in the check?

2) How much time it takes to get the Nat certificate?

3) Does the kid need to appear for Interview for the same?
 
  1. I don't know. However, I got a receipt in the mail from the local USCIS office (just a receipt (like a cash register receipt), not a formal notice) a week or so after I submitted the application
  2. Good question. We submitted the application to the Dallas USCIS district office in June of 2006 and haven't heard anything from them since (although I checked (via an infopass) to make sure it was still in process a month or so ago (http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=244273))
  3. I'll post my experiences when I find out. I'm expecting that they will want to see her (particularly since she has since turned 18).
