Hello Experts:

I am getting ready to file N-600 for my child (after I take my oath on 17th). I have a couple of questions on the form. Hope experts can help me with these.

1. How do I know which USCIS office granted my permanent resident status? I was living in Michigan when I filed my EB-1 application, and I think my application was mailed to Texas.

2. On form N-600, page 3, Q 24: I dont need to fill the boxes as those are only for people born before October 10, 1952, right?

3. On form N-600, page 7, part 5: Physical presence in the US from birth until filing of form: only needed for applicants born outside US claiming to have been born US citizens: since we are not claiming that she was born as US citizen, we dont need to fill this section, right?

Thanks!!

That question (part 2 question D) and almost every other question is asking about your child, not you.

Correct, leave that blank.

Correct.

Thanks for the reply, Jackolantern. I understand that section is asking about my child (may be my question was not clear), but anyhow, How do I know which USCIS office granted my child's permanent resident status? Once again, I was living in Michigan when I filed my EB-1 application, and I think my application was mailed to Texas

That question (part 2 question D) and almost every other question is asking about your child, not you.

If there was an interview, write the city where the interview took place. Otherwise write "Texas Service Center".

The location part of this question isn't that important. People leave it blank and still get the N-600 approved.

Thanks Jackolantern once again. No interview took place, so I will follow your advice and write "Texas Service Center" :)

Thanks once again.

N-600 or N-600K

The fact is that my children aged 12 and 14 years obtained their U.S. passport through the act of 2000, obtained permanent residence through his mother who obtained citizenship through his father who was an American citizen. The fact is that his mother was born in Venezuela did not live in the U.S. long enough to demonstrate physical presence.

We currently live in Venezuela and to renew U.S. passports of children the American Embassy requires citizenship certificates.

Questions:
What is the way to go to obtain certificates of citizenship, which is filling N-600 or N-600K.
The form N-600 K ignores that already have U.S. passports.
I appreciate any information you can give me about it.
Thank you
