Please share your N-600 experience in New York area.
What kind of documents do they need at the time of interview?
Is there any interview for a child or do they mail your certificate of citizenship w/o interview?
How long does it take to process N-600 in NY area?
Timeline?
Any experience plz share.

My other question is why you need to have a Certificate of Citizenship when you can have a US passport based on parent's naturlization? Gurus share your experience/knowledge.
 
Because that is the only basis for proving naturalization (the other being the birth certificate for people born in the U.S) for instance if the passport gets lost. While not absolutely critical, it is advisable to have proof of naturalization i.e., cert. of naturalization.

There was another post from an attorney either on this forum or murthy.com that suggested this.
