Hi,
I got my Green Card Stamping on Sep 25, 2001.
I left US on Sep 28, 2001 and since then have been visiting India, Japan, Germany & France on business. I am still employed by the same American Company and currently visiting these countries to visit clients of the same company and bag/execute projects.
I want to file N-470 to be able to stay outside US for 3 more months (that is, till around April 15). Is it possible ?
I heard that to apply for N-470, I need to be present for 1 year after getting the GC. Is it valid for GC-Stamping too ?
Please note that, I have employed with this American Company for the past 6 years and have been on tour like this for the past 2 years. Am I eligible to apply for N-470 ?
Question 2 is : How long does it take to get the N-470 approval ? (Will be filing with Houston INS District office)
