N-470 application while self-employed?

Hi,
I am going to be doing some consulting work in india for the next 3-4 years. I have a green card and will be setting up a LLC (sole proprietership) in US and will be paid in US Dollars by the Indian Firm. Can you tell me if I can apply for N-470 even though my firm is very small (just me).

You can apply for it, but I doubt they'll approve it, especially since your US company hasn't already been doing business for a while. Otherwise, anybody could just set up an LLC at the time they are about to travel.

Also remember the additional criteria such as having to be in the US for at least one unbroken year since obtaining the green card, in order to be eligible for the N-470.
