N-400 Yellow Letter

Hi,

I received Yellow Letter asking to bring below documents at the time of interview

i) Bring your state-issued driver's license or state-issued photo identification card
ii) You identified in your application that you have been arrested. For these arrests and any other incidents in which you may have been involved, bring originals or certified copies of all arrest records and court dispositions showing how each incident was resolved

I am concerned about ii) I mentioned only traffics citations, never been arrested. For traffics tickets, I went to court to avoid points and paid fine. No arrests or any points on my driving records.
I have proof of payments, if there anything else I need to take as proof at the time of interview?

Do I need to call USCIS and tell them there are no arrests or is it just standard template and don't have worry.? Do I need any official disposition letters (other than payment receipts) from court?

Thanks in advance

Don't worry about the language. Citations / Arrests - all get lumped together in yellow letter. No need to call CIS.

Avoiding fines is not the same as innocent (or not guilty), it means acknowledged guilt. If the tickets were small (less than USD 500), the law says you do not require proof of payment - so proof of payment should do. However, if the ticket was more than 500, get a court certified disposition of your case.

State issued DL - did you recently change address?

Thanks for reply

No, I did not change address after 2007. Address on my driving license has updated address.

one of the traffic ticket fine is only $185.00 but including court fees total payment was $530..
what is the process for getting certified court disposition letter

Talk to the county. Their website should have something.

How many tickets do you have?

I think certified court disposition from the county you had the ticket should be enough. Just call the county court or drive to the court to request it. Some courts charges a little fees. No worries. What kind of ticket was it ? Was it DUI/DWI ?

I have 3 traffic tickets and 1 warning. But no points on my record. I have certified DMV letter - which states Good standing record

Below are the details of tickets:

2 - Unsafe driving (For these I went to court to dismiss points and paid fine)
1- Improper registration plate

1- recent warning (speeding in school zone) after I filed N400 - no points, no fine

"No points on record" has pretty much nothing to do with "what happened".

The reason I asked about ticket count is because sometime IOs do not like too many tickets ... and 3 such tickets (speeding or unsafe driving) is getting in that zone. I can't say whether IO will question or not, but it could be an issue. Even though the fine was less in most cases - you might want to play it safe by having court disposition on all of them ... this is so that if IO asks any question, there is conclusive proof of issue being closed.

Speeding in school zone - were you issued a ticket or just stopped and asked to move on?

they ask about ID in all Yellow letters. About tickets: get all court certified dispositions for all tickets and I think you will be fine

Speeding in school zone - Stopped was issued white color warning ticket (cop mentioned that it was only for documentation, no points or fine)

In last couple of years 5 colleagues applied for N-400 and non of them mentioned anything about Traffic tickets and they are all fine.
They mentioned that IO (Newark NJ) was not interested in traffic tickets...Not sure how far it is true.. I am wondering if I am taking chance by mentioning traffic tickets...

Thanks for suggestions, will contact county courts tomorrow to request court disposition
