N-400: Too many weekend trips to Canada to remember

Hello:

In part 7 of N-400 we are to itemize all out of US travels. I have recorded quite a few of them, but there are many niggling weekend trips to Canada I have no record of. In fact I can even recall a few trips that US immigration has not stamped on my passport.

So my question is: how big a deal is it if I dont recall and list all small trips? I am sure I am well within the 6 months/30 months requirements. What should I do?

Thanks, hi234

Usually if you go by airline they stamp the passport and if you drive by car they do not. At least that's what happened to us. So I suggest put all those trips that were stamped in passport, in the application and do mention that you have had several other weekend trips to Canada. It does not hurt because most immigration officers do not bother trips to Canada as a big deal.

I agree. Just put all the ones that you have in your passport and all the ones that you can remember with certainty. Then make a note saying that there are probably more trips but you can't rememeber them all. You will be fine.

We had the same problem - we listed many trips and included a note that said something like.....to the best of my ability/recollection....any possible ommissions would involve similar trips to Canada and a total stay no longer than x days.

This was passed by the lawyer - the concern seemed to be the number of consecutive days away as well as the country visited so in your note try to include some info on the ommissions. The citizenship was granted in our case and no mention during the interview about this issue
