N-400 submitted end of July, no news yet, California Service Center

Hi All,

I submitted my N-400 application to the California service center, along with my husbands sometime end of July. The package was received first week of Aug. The check has not been cashed yet and no news from USCIS so far.
I am getting worried. Is there a number that I can call to check the status?
Did anyone who submitted their N-400 around end of July hear from them?

Hi Shruti,
As you may already know there were a record number of N400s submitted in July - so they are going to be delays. The USCIS receipting times on their website (under "Important Alerts" is very useful to see if your processing center has gotten to your filing date or not.
