N-400 Status Check

I sent my N-400 application to Texas Center on FEB-21. I just got the receipt notice today with my application number like SSC***********. When I put this number in the online status check on USCIS website, I am getting message the 'Case Cannot be found'.

Can we check the N-400 status online or not? I was expecting SRC# instead of SSC, Is that normal.

N-400 applications are handled by a different specialized unit within USCIS. SSC*####.... is the correct receipt number assigned at TSC for N-400 cases. nothing to worry about. Good luck future citizen of the USA.:)
 
Applications show up on that site when they feel like it. Most (but I doubt if all) eventually show up.

Once they show up, then it's useful to monitor the site. When an application disappears, it often (but not always) implies that your will get your interview letter soon.

It's all part of the USCIS "confuse the customer" strategy.
