I read on uscis website under "USCIS Application and Receipting Update" the following:
"USCIS will honor the actual date that an application was received in our mailroom; this date will be indicated on the receipt (in the Received Date box) when Form I-797, Notice of Action, is mailed."
This quote threw me off as I have always understood that the post-make date, not the date of receipt is what counts in order for the application to be accepted. Can someone tell me if I am mistaken?
