Hi all,
I've made a bad mistake by filing my N-400 several days before I met physical presence condition. My application was accepted in September, I made it all the way through the interview. During the interview immigration officer informed me that I’m not eligible because I was out of the country a few days more than I’m allowed. Today I received a rejection notice. It mentions that I can appeal, but I think it would be a waste of time since I really did not meet physical presence requirement as of several months ago (on my application date).
Of course, I could not have been any more frustrated and pissed at myself, but it is too late to worry about that now. Since I spent last 4 months in the US, I definitely meet physical presence now. Can I re-apply immediately or is there some kind of period during which I cannot re-apply? I have not found anything about such restriction on the uscis.gov, but wanted to doublecheck.
Thanks in advance for your help!
