Hello,
I have a general question to anyone who has has experience with N400 process (and any in put from the LA District Office).
1) N-400 submitted in early Feb 2006
2) 2/15/06, I received confirmation that USCIS has received it
3) 3/16/06, letter received to go in for fingerprints
4) 3/30/06, fingerprints taken
5) 4/26/06 MY APPLICATION MOVE TO LA District Office
Does anyone know why USCIS no longer has online updates once the application is move to the DO? I just called the 800 customer service and all they could tell is that the application is now in the LA DO and I need to wait.
The LA DO is currently processing application dating back to Aug of 2005. How realistic is this to take until they get to my case which was submitted in Feb 2006? Do you know if they give priority to people who have been a permenant resident for 26 years?
Is it safe to assume that once the LA DO receives the application that the fingerprint and background has been completed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated since I'm crossing my fingers to get my interview and take the oath before mid October of 2006 because I'm getting married and want to travel to my honeymoon with a U.S. Passport.
Thanks!!!
