N-400 problem at Boston DO

Hi,

I'm new in here. I found this website by a friend of mine. My case is the following: I applied for naturalization on August 20, 2004. I got my FP in September 21, and an interview on April 15, 2005. The interview went very smoothly and didn't have any problems. I was handed a form saying that you are recommended for approval. I also passed the English and history test. After that, the officer told me to wait in the room so he can get an oath ceremony notice. He, instead came back telling me that they had to consolidate some files into one file number, but he already had all my files with him, as my lawyer, who was with me, said... I'm trying to find out what's going on:

My lawyer already sent 2 letters to request a decision
I involved representative of my district, and the senator of my State, but nothing happened yet....The senator office keeps telling me each time a different answer, so I don't really trust them. I know that it's not the FBI name check that is the problem since I got an e-mail from the FBI while back in March saying that they did the name check and that they sent the results to Washigton DC.

I don't what I should do right now! Do you any other ideas that can help?

Thank you,

Karim

Duplicate A-File

Thank you for you reply. I read your thread. I went to the DO few weeks ago, and found out that they had my files...The information officer said that to me..She also said that a couple or 3 months is not long enough to wait(It's that easy to wait!) so I don't really know what's going on! I'm trying to get information from them but in vain!!!

You can write a letter to the interviewing officer or the Director of the Boston DO and request for completion of the processing. I know exactly how hard it is to be patient when you are so close to the finish line. It's a delicate balance, you don't want it to back fire also.

At this stage you should keep visiting the Boston DO and keep checking on the status of your case. If you don't hear something soon, then contact the Congressman or Senator's office. Sometime an inquiry from their office makes the staff complete the processing so that they can get them off their backs.

Thank you sg orl for replying to my messages...I sent 2 letters: one to the interviewer officer, and the 2nd one to his supervisor requesting a final decision.... I called and e-mailed the staff of the senator and the representative, but no updates!!

Is there another thing I can do to expediate the process....It's ridiculous to be approved and promised an oath notice on the same day, and then chage their mind 5 minutes later..It's like playing with people's life and time. i'll continue to bug the senator's office and the DO until I get an answer, but sometimes I'm afraid to push it too much because it can complicate things and make them last longer.

Thanks
