Does any one know if the Interview and the Oath is on the same day in Pittsburgh and the average processing times?

By the way I got my fingerprinting date for the 11 of September; however I went and got this done 3 weeks earlier as a walk in and they did not mind.

You can enquire if this is OK at your locations; may save some time..

I know three people who got Naturalized under the Pittsburgh BCIS office. In no cases was the oath on the same day. However I was told that waiting times for oath after interview are pretty short unless your application is subject to the additional fbi/security name check as was in my case.

My dates for Pittsburgh/ESC

Applied: End of Dec 2002
FP : Middle of Feburary 2003
Received Interview letter: Middle of May 2003
Interview: End of July 2003
Waiting for oath letter

Adjudicating officer at BCIS Pittsburgh is very professional and nice. Good luck with your interview.

re Pittsbugh N 400

Thanks Barker:

Can you tell us the documents you carried and the questions asked? how long was the whole interview process?

Thanks again

kashinath: If you do a search under my username, you will find some details about my interview experience. I went overboard and took every single document related to immigration. That inluded my old I-20s, H1-b papers, my permanent residence folder, copies of my tax returns, cancelled passports, you name it etc., but as you will see from reading my posts all the interviewing officer asked for was drivers license, green card passport.
The officer asked about 10 or 12 questions from the standard list of 100 questions on US history/civics and went over my application, revalidated the responses etc.. I would say that the interview lasted about 15-20 minutes.

Hope that helps.
