N-400 pending and separation!

A friend of mine is in trouble. Her N-400 is pending, she interviewed and waiting for her oath letter. But some issues happened and she separated from her husband. They have not filed divorce yet and may not be filing till she gets her citizenship. But she is scared and she wants to know, if living seprately may impact her application . She is been married to USC for 4 years now.

Great ques - could fbi/ name chk pickup on the add change etc? what about taxes? is it a biggie if they file separately? do the rules technically only require that they not be technically divorced. i know that there's no onus to prove that it was good faith unlike at GC stage but perhaps just that it remains valid ...
