I just found out through online postings here and there that changing your name in the naturalization application process could delay your oath because you'll have to take your oath at an judicial court.
I requested to have an English name and also a spelling modification on my other names on my N-400, and now I am waiting for my interview coming on June 9th in the Seattle DO. I wonder if I am able to discuss the name change with the interview officer about whether the change will delay my oath, or if I could forget about the name change and get my oath possibly earlier...
Please advise!
