I completed my citizenship interview yesterday and was asked to provide a birth certificate (yes dont ask me why). I dont have a birth certificate but have a offical document from my home country indicating that a serach was conducted and no birth certificate was found. I also have 2 original affividavits from my mother and sister from 2001 that i used for my greencard processing. My question is can i use the affividavits from 2001 or do i have to get brand new affividates?
I want to send the missing documents ASAP so dont want to wait for several weeks to collect new affividates from my home country.
would appreciate any input.
Also is anybody else facing the same issue of birth certificate?
