Hello everyone!! I have my interview on the 29th of this month and two month ago I got a criminal traffic ticket(for not wearing my eye glasses). I hired a lawyer and told me that it wasnt a big deal, but my interview is one week before my court day. This is the only ticket that Ive ever had. Do you guys think that is going to be a problem that this case is open durng my interview.thanks

Yes, it might. Try to resolve this issue before interview. Otherwise, there is a chance that USCIS officer will delay the decision until after the court decision is made.

I don't think it is an issue

Resolving the ticket is benificial, but I don't think it will be an issue for interview as long as you disclose it to the officer. Why can't you pay the penalty and have a certified copy of the disposition with you for the interview, even before the court date.

Lot of people have multiple tickets more serious than not wearing glasses and got thru interview successfully. I have multiple, disclosed them all, interview office didn't ever care. I have certified copies of dispositions with me just in case.

The whole purpose of asking that information on app is to prove your moral character, that's all, who cares how many tickets we have as long as we pay all that we plead guilty.

Just curious, why is it a criminal case of not wearing glasses anyway ?

It won't even be in your record until the court date

Common Santi, someone scared you with this minor traffic ticket. :p

Until final disposition of the citation ( whichever way) it won't be in the driving records database.

I would advice to call the number to pay and get the certified copy of dispostion and forget about it.

Best of Luck

Right .. pay and keep the receipt. I understand that you'd have to show up in court for this kind of minor violation only if you want to dispute the ticket.
