N-400 form help

Hi. I am just starting the citizenship process and this forum has been fantastic. I had a couple of quick questions about the N-400 form:

1. In part 10 they ask if I have EVER been a member of any organization, association, etc,?
I have never been part of a political organization. However, I am an engineer and I have been a member of technical organizations, conference committees, phi beta gamma, etc. Do I have to include these and provide explanations for each? I can answer 'no' to every other question in the section

2. Can I send my application and my wife's application in the same envelope with two checks?

Thanks for the response. I was wondering if they really needed info about technical memberships, etc. But I guess they want EVERYTHING.

I even wrote down my AAA membership.
