N-400 eligibility answers: what to do when can claim more than one?

It has been almost 5 years since receiving conditional GC (by marriage to US Citizen), and now I can answer eligibility as either "3 years + married to US Citizen" or the regular "5 years".

Is there a difference between the two? Could the regular "5 years" path be faster? There is clearly much less paperwork to submit, so I am thinking to check the "5 years" box on the application. Does anyone know better? Thanks.

There is no difference on speed, but going the 5 year route needs less documents and less hassle during interview, i.e. no need to prove anything about your marriage. I'd go the 5 years route.
