Hello forum members,
Can I just send a COPY of my divorce decree (REQUEST FOR JUDGMENT, JUDGMENT OF DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE, AND NOTICE OF ENTRY OF JUDGMENT) when I send my filled in N-400 form and other information to the Service Center? I also called the court and confirmed that this is the Divorce Decree.
I believe that I need a 'Certified Copy' of my divorce decree ONLY during the Citizenship Interview.
I looked at the 'M-476 Guide to Naturalization' Document Checklist and it says the following:
Send copies of the following documents, unless we ask for an original.
If you were married before, send:
Proof that all earlier marriages ended-divorce decree(s), annulments, or death certificates(s);
Can somebody please clarify this? Thanks in advance for the response.
