Hello Everybody!
Quick Background: I'm a senior at college & Permanent Resident in Virginia. I plan to apply for naturalization in the near term; I have continuous residence in the US since Feb 14, 2006.
I have done some research about how to answer the part of the application that have to do with criminal background, but I couldn't find a conclusive answer. Over the past 5 years I have 2 citations:
1. Speeding - I opted to go court (I could have prepaid), plead guilty, paid the fine, and got a court receipt.
2. Fishing W\O a License - I had a license at the time, unfortunately is was expired for a week or so, I completely forgot that I have to renew it. Opted to go to court as well and pay the fine.
I want to know what is your take on as far as answering the following:
15. Have you ever committed a crime or offense for which you were not arrested?
16. Have to ever been arrested, cited, or detained..
17. Have you ever been charged with committing any crime or offense...
18. Have you ever been convicted of a crime or offense...
My thought is that, given my record, to check YES for all.
What do you guys think I should do?
Thanks Ahead,
Stan.
