I received my green card (employment based) in May, 2007 and my wife got the same via my application. I would now like to apply for citizenship for the two of us. Early this year my wife had to move out of state for her employment and so lives and works in the state of OH. While i am continuing to live and work in the state of NJ and planning to move to OH late next year. Can i apply for N-400 for both of us in the same office? How exactly would this work, if it is possible. Thanks.

N-400 applications for spouses are applied for and processed separately. She should apply with her OH address, and you apply with your NJ address. Neither your green card nor N-400 are marriage-based, so living separately is not a problem.

If both of you want to apply in OH using her OH residence, you would have to establish sufficient ties to OH to convince them you are actually a resident of OH despite working in NJ. That would include things such as getting a driver's license or state ID in Ohio, filing state taxes as an Ohio resident and NJ nonresident, filing your Federal tax return with the Ohio address, and getting your name on the lease or mortgage of where she lives in Ohio.
