N-400 and welfare

:) Hi everyone!,

I am new to this forum, and really hope someone can answer my question, since I couldn't find the answer anywhere else.
I have been a LPR for just over 5 years. Married to a US citizen. A few months ago, my husband lost his job and with it the family health insurance. I applied for Masshealth -the state health insurance in Ma-. This is the only benefit that we are getting, since his worker's compensation check puts us well over the 200 % poverty level.
Now I would like to apply for citizenship, but after reading the affidavit of support my husband signed to sponsor me, I'm not sure I can do it. Did I do something illegal when applying for Masshealth ?, if I did, why did the state granted me this benefit ?, did I spoil my chances to become a citizen?

Thanks in advance for your help,
mgala

Don't put all your eggs into one basket.

Keep you existing citizenship from which ever country you are.

With the way N400 applicants are being treated today its probably not worth it.

The message I am getting is N400 applicants are NOT welcome. Only the processing Fee that you file is WELCOME.
