N-400 5 yr Travel Disclosure - Can Customs Help??

We have had our permanent residency for 6 years and are taking the step towards naturalization. N-400 wants you to list all trips taken outside the USA for the last 5 years. We live close to the Canadian Border and have taken numerous (15-20) trips from as short as a weekend to a maximum of 3 weeks during the last 5 years. We can document some of them accurately, but I am concerned with incorrectly documenting, or completely missing, a weekend trip.

I know that for some of the trips where we flew, Customs will have records because they swiped our cards, but most trips, were driving trips and customs just said "Welcome Back" and no documents were examined.

Is there any way to get Customs records? How critical is 100% accuracy here?

Fill the N-400 table for outside trips as best as you can and attach a letter saying that you live close to border and have taken numerous trips to Canada (any other country) and put in the table the best you remember. Truthfully, you do not remember the rest and state the same. It is no big deal. BTW if you drive across the border of US and Canada, there is never a stamp in the passport. State the same. I had travelled to Toronto once by air and at the airport the passport was stamped. So your passport may have some instances you can recall. Good luck!
