Myxa - Nov 2003 RFE response - Whats wrong?

Myxa,

I responded to my RFE in Oct 2003. I noticed u did the same in Nov. 2003. So whats holding your case?

I'm really scared now that INS has forogtten my case and will never get to it again.

Lets share some info to help us guage this .

As I was mentioning in other threads, I could not get any information on why it is taking so long after RFE? I submitted numerous request via my lawyer and via senator without success.

On April, lawyer told me that case has been assigned to the officer.
Just couple of days ago, I got information from layer that FBI check has been completed and case is assigned to officer. No words on when and how long actual name check took place. I believe all this info lawyer got after FAX inquiries.

Lets just hope that our cases will be adjudicated soon.

BTW, have you done your 2FP? If so, when 2FP request has been generated, before RFE or after?

Myxa, I think the hardest part is getting the case assigned to an officer. Once it is assigned and your case is relatively "clean", whatever that means, your approval should happen within a few weeks. At least that seems to be the trend from mid-March 2004. Good luck!

sfbay_area_guy, you had better start sending more faxes to CA senators and congressmen. Try to meet them in person if possible and explain your situation. Good luck!
