I am a DV winner with 11xxx number. A am doing AOS in NYC! That is one of the worse places for this. I filled my papers 12/15/05, got a notice on 12/27/04 that they got my application. Then I made my fingerprint and biometric appointment for 2/5/05. That was a Satruday. On 2/7/05 they approved my EAD application. (You can check it on line @ http://uscis.gov/graphics/index.htm then go to case status and processing dates.) Then today 2/11/05 I received my interview date for early March! So far so good, and it might be even faster then KCC!

For all of us doing AOS don't give up! It will happen! My lawyer said they have special laws to speed up AOS towards the end of the 2005 fiscal year!
