I just checked my status online and this is what i have:

Application Type: I140, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER

Current Status:

On March 18, 2004, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 150 and 180 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

If you have any idea how many days it will take after this to get my CP interview, please let me know. It will be appreciated.

I know one guy who replied RFE on 4th feb 2004 still showing the same message

{The Service Center should approve your I-140 before you
can think of your CP interview.

Eventhough the automated system quotes upto 6 months
for the decision, normally you would see the outcome in
about 3 weeks }

Hi,

Can you post your details..like ND and RFE date for I140? I am also a CP candidate and was wondering how much time is it taking for I140 processing for Consular Processing (CP) candidates...

The best thing to do is file and forget about it. it took INS one and ahalf years to deny my I-140, it took AAO one year to come up with a decision after my appeal, and now since november, 2003 it is taking INS forever just to sent me an approval after the AAO decision.

1st RFE received 12/2002
1st RFE replied 2/2003 //same web message as yours
2nd RFE received 8/2003 //with some duplicated questions
2nd RFE replied 9/2003 //waiting for Tax return
I-140 Approved 9/2003 //3 days after they received 2nd RFE reply

Sailu,

I think you are totally unaware of the long process between the
I-140 approval and the time you finally know the date of your
interview at the Consulate.

Go to the threads for the CP Process and research to know about this. The following is a ball park figure.

IF YOU HAVE OPTED FOR 'CP' IN YOUR I-140 PETITION then the
time it takes is roughly 6 to 8 months. There are a series of
steps in this process.

Can anyone tell me what are the documents i need to be ready with after the I-140 approval, I have applied for CP and Raju has given these steps will follow after the RFE i got.
