I went to INS in San Jose on Monday[May 07].
Time mentioned in the courtesy copy was 7:30 to 11:00 am monday to thursday.
I reached at 7:10 am. there was very long queue. I was still outside the main gate when I heard the annoucement that they can not take any more cases that day so I have to leave without stamping.
Next day I reached there at 5:20 am and I was inside the building at 8:25 am. My no was more than 100. Since I already had no. slip with me so I left
INS for 2 hours and came back again. My turn came at 2:00pm.
The person at the counter asked me one question : Whether I am still with the same employer. I said "yes". He stamped my passport and asked I will receive my actual card within 9 months.
I did not took pictures for my 3 yr old son. He asked me to bring pictures. So I went out side. and came back with pictures and my son also got stamp on his passport.

Thanks

Gaurav.
