After reading Rahul Kumar's eye-opening post about FBI Name Check I sent my faxes on August 16. One was FOIPA request, another - name check status inquiry. A week later I sent a fax to Mr. Hooton. And 10 days after that - another fax to Mr. Hardy, where I mentioned the fax to his boss. Every three days I was calling public inquiry line and leaving my information there. Tried to talk to a live person but could not get past the secretary - her only responce was "Give us a couple more weeks!". On Sept. 9th I got a phone call from a lady from the FBI (she did not introduce herself). She told me that my file had been pending since December 2002 (when USCIS submitted it to the FBI), however at that time a ridiculous number of requests was sent and FBI just did not have time to get to mine... Finally (her words) because of my persistence they pulled my file out of the pile and "10 seconds ago" it was given to one of their analysts.
Today I received an email stating that my namecheck was completed on September 11, and results were sent to the USCIS.
Here is the question to those who have been through this. How long does it normally take USCIS to get to this new information sent by the FBI? When should I expect to receive the oath invitation? I am with Philadelphia CIS office.
Thanks guys!
