Came to us with the company A in Feb 98. they asked me to go to Indian office after my first project was over. I switched to a company B and applied for green card.. I switched to another company C after my labor is approved because of my personal problems. Switched back to company B because I have some problems with company C.
Applied for I140 with the company B because I already cleared my labor with company B. applied for 485 on oct 17,2001. in Nov 2002 got a rfe with 7 questions for me and for my wife 3 questions.
My lawyer is not that much supportive . I took legal advice from sheela murthy by paying fee. According her instructions I prepared all documents and sent it to my lawyer which he forwarded to INS.
I replied on Jan 2003 for RFe and I got approved on Mar 18 2004.
Questions in RFE :
1) 4 questions asked related company C which I worked for 3 months. Prove how I legally worked with them, pay stubs and offer letter
2) 3 related to current company emp letter, w2 forms and pay checks
for wife : when my wife H4 got expired I have not appled for her extension on time. For that INS aksed prove how legally my wife stayed for xxx—yyy period. I payed fine of 1000$ and applied under ac21 according to the murty advice.
In between so many problems like I lost my passports when I sent for visa revalidation to ST Louis. They claims they sent my passports back after issuing the visa but I received only supporting docs in that envelop. After applying Police report we got duplicate passports.
Finally I got my greenacrd approved and got it stamped
