My lawyer's email put me OFFICIALY under a deep depression now...

As I mentioned earlier I just found out that my real and official PD is March 2002. We all know that VSC are currently working on March 2005, which means - they are two years (!) ahead of me.
I called the 800 number about a month ago and got the response letter yesterday...all it says is that it is "being delayed"...no special reason as oppose to the last letter that mentioned "security check delays".
So I called again this morning to tell them that in all previous calls/inquiries I gave them a wrong PD by mistake and I wanted to fix that and start another inquiry.
I was surprised to find on my "way to the hold line" that they changed/modified their prompts. There is a new prompt now that lets you "check PD to see if you can apply for Permanent Resident" ...unless it was always there and I never realized that.
Anyways, the recording says the following (I'll try to quote as much as possible):
"For Third Preference Skilled Workers and Professionals the Priority cutoff date effective as of April 1 2005 is current. Visas are immediately available for all areas. Exceptions as follows: For those born on the Chinese mainland, India and the Philippins the cutoff date is April 1 2002.
For Other Third Preference Workers the Priority Cutoff Date effective as of April 1 2005 is July 1 2001 for all areas."

So...I am in deep depression now...first of all because of the set back in the dates...all of a sudden I find myself in July 2001. Second - what the heck is the deal with all these dates? Their web site is talking about cutoff date of March 2004, now I hear July 2001 (which you can't even find anywhere in their web site), so who/what/where should I believe...?

you are getting confused here...

You are in EB3 category with PD in March2002? Is it right?
If so then ignore all other dates. Your I485 can be processed since the EB3 PD for people from I-C-P countries is April 1, 2002.

You should just concentrate on getting the FBI name check results.

Yes, EB3 with March 2002. The only problem is - I am not from I-C-P....
Also, if I should ignore all other dates, why are they mentioned in the recording and in the Monthly Visa Bulletin?

In that case nothing to worry. Just concentrate on your case...why it is not being picked up for processing...

You need to make a status inquiry through your attorney and also with congressmen.
