My InfoPass appt today 10/11

I went to the InfoPass today and heard a different story than what I heard from the TSC IO on Oct 2nd.One thing that was common is namecheck,security have been cleared.She said they are waiting for fingerprinting results and the case had been assigned to an officer on Sep 19th.I replied back that I had LUD's on two consecutive days after the fingerprinting and she said Oh they process it faster.:confused:
The TSC IO had told me my case is not with an officer but a visa number has been requested.Infopass IO told me case is with an officer under examination but a visa number has not been requested:confused:

Bottomline :- Not sure what is going on with my case.All I know namecheck,security has been cleared.

I think that most people agree that the name check is the big hurdle and then getting the priority date current and then it's luck after that.

I think that you are in good shape.

OCT seems to be really slow sofar. Any updates or LUDs on your cases in Oct? When i called yesterday, i was told that case is in work area for review and she can't guess howlong it takes..

Here is the method to contact TSC using POJ

Dial 1 800 375 5283 then 1-2-2-6-1 enter SRC# then listen to the info then 1-3-4 you can talk with immigration officer directly

I had an infopass2 days ago and the IO there was quite rude but told me that my case has been assigned to an officer on Sep28th. I had RFE and had replied and USCIS received my RFE on Sep29 I had LUDs on my 485 on 9/29, 9/30, 10/1, 10/2 and nothing after that. I am eb3-India, PD 6/2005 and 485 RD 8/2004, NC Cleared 10/2004.

I talked to TSC IO and told her my EAD is expiring this OCtober and that I am confused whether or not to renew my EAD because this is my 4th EAD and also that INFOPASS IO told me that my case is assigned to an officer and my 485 RD is 2004 and PD is 2004 and USCIS had received my RFE and said you will get a written decision in 60 days. She said she cant see all the details and also she cannot confirm if my case has been assigned to an officer or not. She openly said that she doesnt have access to all the information, she said she doesnt have access to the physical file and she cannot see details like case assigned to officer or not and if visa# is assigned to case or not?
and she went on to say "I would advise you to apply for your 4th EAD as visa# availability is unpredictable, and that RFE doesnt mean you will get it, so she said you might get it in a month of years"

Bottomline, TSC Immigration Information Officer over phone is less powerful and has less ability than INFOPASS IOs who are superior in terms of their ability to access our information even online although both dont have exact minute details on a case as they dont have access to the physical file itself.

Thanks for information - I just tried and when I put my case # it says number is not correct! I am 100% sure I am pressing it right - tried 3 times.

RavOranges got his approval in this week. ;). mine is no where near i guess. There is not much in Nov visa bulletin, waiting for Dec visa bulletin :D :p
 
When we make an infopass appointment,

- What are the documents we need to carry.
- What questions they ask us.

Is it risky to take an infopass appointment, because it might affect our I-485case.

Please answer.

The Mandatory documents are your InfoPass appointment letter printed out and a photo ID(driver's license,passport etc).

You can carry as much additional documents as you want like a copy of your I-485 receipt,stamped biometrics.

The officer today didn't ask me any of these details.She used the SRC and A# from the Infopass appointment letter to view things.

LaborBadhi,

You are going to see that the PD's for EB3 India will shoot past your dates and you will be current in December.

Keep your hopes high up!!! You will be there soon.
 
infopass

Today I went to infopass and talked to nice IO. he said everything is cleared including background check. its ready for the approval. but he don't know whats the status. i asked whether my appl. is assinged to an officer he replied he do not have info. Then in my presence, he sent an email to TSC officers for the possible approval.

I hope for the best.
