Hi kamalslp,

If you have some free time, could you write up an article about
Kansas INS office? Anything you feel like writing, such as locations,
crowd, officers, etc., will be useful for future new comers. Thanks
 a lot in advance.

Ciba, sorry for the delay in my response. I feel happy share my experience. I hope it will be helpful for new comers.

In short, here is my passport stamping experience with INS Local Office, Kansas City. I received my I-485 approval notice 02/26/2001. And I received my wife\'s I-485 approval notice on 03/05/2001 at 12.00PM. Immidiatly after I collected this, my wife and myself drove to Kansas City, MO INS office which is around 40 miles away from my home(Overland Park, KS). We reached INS at 1.00 PM and Kansas City INS allows all the cases unto 2.30PM except finger print cases allowed up to 4.30PM.
We reached the counter and noticed that We were the only persons waiting for I-485 related cases. No tokens were given. We stood in the line. We showed the I-485 approvals to the gentleman in the counter. He asked to give passports, I-94s, 2 photographs each(with Name and A# number written back side of these) and PA/Ends if any. We also had H1 and H4 renewals which we got these 3 days before I-485 approval notices and submitted the recent I-94s also. After checking our A# numbers in his computer he stamped our passports with I-551 seal. After that he asked us to come inside and he took finger prints and signatures on I-89 form. Then he told us that we completed the process and INS will take 6 to 8 months to mail the plastic cards.

Hi all, Please post the message or send me an em-ail if you have any questions regarding this. I will answer as soon as possible.

Thanks

My FP was on Feb/27/01. I called FBI next day and they said that my FP has been forwarded to INS. Could some one help me on
1. How would I confirm that INS has entered my data into their system - is their any phone number?
2. How much time is it taking in CSC (approx.) for the Passport stamping after FP?
