My I-140 is approved

I just received an email notification saying that my I-140 had been approved last Friday. I'm so nervous in waiting for the approval because I'm still a Ph.D. student on F-1 status. People was always telling me that I would have trouble to get it approved. But finally I got it approved without any RFE. I'm so happy right now. During this 11-month waiting period, I got a lot of information from this forum and I think this is helpful for my future I-485. Good luck to everyone in this forum. Good luck to my I-485, a next painful journey.

Case type: I-140(NIW)
RD:Oct.3, 2004
ND:Oct.4, 2004
AP:Aug. 27, 2004
I-485: not submitted yet

Can we have details, please? Field, qualifications, etc.? I have NIW filed last Nov. (semi-concurrent), no word so far. Thanks!

Bioorganic synthesis related to anti-HIV. 11 international publications with 9 of them first author at the time of submission. 12 rec letters, in which 1 from a professor sitting on President Bush's advisory board for anti-AIDS campaign, 1 from a member of American Academy of Sceiences and Arts, 1 from one of chief scientists from FDA, 3 from deans from three famous US universities. The others are from my boss and professors from other universities. Pesonally, I only know my boss and one professor from China. All the rest, I never met them, but they are very famous in my area. All of them wrote very good (excellent) rec letters for me, which I think why my case is approved without RFE. Also, I am listed as the key investigator for a NIH-funded project. Right now, I'm still at one of top 10 US universities and expecting to graduate very soon. Good luck to everybody in this forum. Good luck to my next painful journey.

Losthelp,

Try and post this information to the forum on Natonal Interest Waiver also. It will help those who have filed for NIW and tend to visit that forum regularly.
