My I-140 duration time change , Any news on this

Hi All,

Today when i check my I-140 status by online and by phone now they updated the process duration time to 270-300 days. When i first file my case it says 360 to 366 days , after couple of months they changed to 350 to 360 days and today they updated to 270 to 300 days. But in Last Updated field the date not changed. I filed my I - 140 and 485 on August 2004. That mean 3 more months i need to wait to approve my case? But now the California process dates shows us August 2004.

Any one can comment on this updates? Thanks.
 
Message changed for my I-140 and kids' I-485

The display status message changed for my I-140 and my kids I-485, but not for me and my wife's I-485. No LUD update. RD for my concurrent I-140 and I-485 is Nov 10, 2004.

Here is the Status Message:

It is taking between 270 and 300 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.
 
My message changed as well. There was an RFE on my case in Dec, 04. I replied in Feb, 05 and nothing since then. LUD 3/3/05. My RD for I140 and 485 is 04/??/04 and it has passed 300 days already, no news from USCIS as yet.

Waiting...................:-(

Yep same with my case. Dates for I140 has been changed.I think the speed is because last year during June-sep 2004 California Pilot program was inforce. So many of the applications got approved within 3 months. So I guess they don't have that many cases to work on. Only those didn't qualify for Pilot or those that required more info is still pending.
Just my assumption.
 
Even I-485 dates have been changed for my dependents.
Initially I guess it was between 600-660 days.
Now it says between 270-300 days....Hope for the best.

Hi qa_guy26

Probably they update with maximum number of days on worst case. I think your file will be taken soon as per priority date. Don't worry.
