My husband (U.S. citizen) is petitioning for me. How about my son who is 23?

I married a US citizen and he is about to petition for my naturalization. I have a son who is 23 years old student on an F-1 visa. Could his stepfather petition for my kid and me at the same time?
What preference category is my son?

Yes, you husband can apply for both but separately (file separate forms). You will get you visa number immidiately. But your son will be on Frist perference. Please go to the link below for more detail.
